No “Faux” in Jesus

Happy Easter (a day early)!

I had some pre-Easter fun with my cousins and will have more fun with more of my cousins tomorrow.

Now, let’s take a moment and discuss the true meaning of Easter, or as my dad calls it, Resurrection Sunday….

Personally, I freaking LOVE Easter! I mean no school, tons of candy, family time, what could be better? Enough with all the faux stuff, in reality there is something so much better, or should I say someone so much better. On this day, we are all truly celebrating a time when the God of this entire universe came down and died to save us… Let me say that again… He came down to save everyone, including me. I can be a pretty horrible person, at times, and to think that God came down to save me is AMAZING! Instead of having us suffer, the God of this entire universe came down and suffered for us!  Again, that is truly awesome to think about considering some people today don’t even take a minute to think about what really happened on this incredible day.

So, after all the dressing up, brunches, and Easter egg hunting don’t forget to bow your head and give thanks sometime during all the faux fun to the one TRUE God.

Verse

John 19:30

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
