On His Own But Not Alone

I am so thankful for and proud of my brother.  He has wrestled for 7-years.  He practices every year, but on his “down years” he doesn’t typically compete in tournaments.  On those years his focus switches to Judo.

This year is his “down year” in wrestling since he is 11-years old, while he didn’t compete  this season he did decide to enter the State Series (Districts, Regionals & State).  Anyone can compete in Districts, only the top six from Districts moves on to Regionals, and from there only the top four go on to compete in the MO State wrestling tournament.

Since my Protocol Formal was the same day as Districts my brother was on his own at his tournament, so my mom and dad could attend my formal.

I’m so PROUD of him…He got 3rd Place and qualified for Regionals…Way to go, Bub!   We will be there in person to cheer you on at Regionals…You can do it!!!

UPDATE

Paulie went on to get 3rd Place at Regionals and qualified for State.  He then got 4th Place at the MO State Wrestling Tournament…I didn’t miss a match…Way to go buddy (love you)!

Verse

Isiah 41:10

Don’t be afraid, because I’m with you; don’t be anxious, because I am your God. I keep on strengthening you; I’m truly helping you. I’m surely upholding you with my victorious right hand.”
